Production Companies and Distributors

In order to make my film opening realistic, I need to include realistic titles. The title that I am looking at is the production company and distributors as specific production companies and distributors tend to produce specific genres of films, and so I have researched the production companies and distributors of the films that I have researched and also films in the same genre as my film.

Production Companies:
Fight Club:  20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises
A Beautiful Mind:  Universal Pictures, Dreamworks SKG and Imagine Entertainment
Black Swan:  Fox Searchlight Pictures and Cross Creek Pictures
Shutter Island:  Spyglass Entertainment, Paramount Picutures and Dreamworks
Trance:  Pathé, Film4 Productions and Fox Searchlight Pictures

Distributors:
Fight Club: Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, 20th Century Fox
A Beautiful Mind: Universal Pictures, Dreamworks Distribution, United International Pictures
Black Swan: Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation
Shutter Island:  Paramount Pictures
Trance: 20th Century Fox

For the distributor of my film to include in my film opening, I will use 20th Century Fox because this is the distributor of most of the films similar to mine and so this  will help make the titles more realistic and fit in more with the title conventions of the genre. Also it is a well renowned distributor and has distributed very successful films in the past that my target audience would have seen, and so the distributor is familiar to them, and has been around since 1935 and so has a long history of distributing films.

For the production company I will use Fox Searchlight Pictures as box Black Swan and Trance have these production companies which are both relatively similar to my film. Also Fox Searchlight Pictures have produced some lower budget films, so as my film would not be a big Hollywood budget film, it would be realistic to choose a production company that produces smaller budget films.
